Taliban Implicated in Pul-Khumri Mosque Attack: National Resistance Front Speaks Out

October 13, 2023 - The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has declared the Taliban responsible for the recent terrorist attack targeting Shiite worshippers in the Imam Zaman Mosque of Pul-Khumri, Baghlan province.

In a statement released today, the National Resistance Front condemned the tragic incident in Pul-Khumri. They criticized the Taliban for falsely promising national security, stating, “While they claim to protect our people, they simultaneously provide refuge for regional and international terrorist groups, making them complicit in these heinous acts.”

The NRF further remarked that by harboring terrorists within the country's borders, the Taliban “subjects the population to both imminent and potential threats.”

This condemnation follows the devastating blast in the Imam Zaman mosque, resulting in the loss of numerous Shiite worshippers. The National Resistance Front points out the inconsistency in the Taliban's narrative, noting, “While the Taliban deny the presence of allied terrorist groups in Afghanistan, particularly in the north, actions like these speak louder than their words.”

Local sources have reported a tragic toll, indicating over 100 casualties – both injured and deceased – due to this explosion.
