NRF Emerges Victorious in Recent Battle Against the Taliban in Khost district of Baghlan province

Sunday, May 07, 2023 - The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan’s ongoing struggle for freedom continues as we witnessed a fierce battle between the NRF and Taliban terrorists in Khost district of Baghlan province yesterday, which lasted for approximately 10 hours.

Despite being outnumbered and facing heavy weapons such as mortars and rockets, the NRF’s brave freedom fighters held their ground, defending their homeland and the values they believe in. The cost of this battle was high, as four freedom fighters of the National Resistance Front made the ultimate sacrifice: martyrdom.

Their names are Commander Ruhollah, Safiullah Sarjang, Sibghatullah, and Qudratullah. We honor their bravery and sacrifice, knowing that they fought for a just cause and believed in the value of freedom.

After the battle, the Taliban terrorists permitted two locals to collect the bodies of the martyrs but ordered them to bury the bodies in a mass grave, denying them the dignity of a proper funeral. Regrettably, only the bodies of three resistance fighters were found, but the search for Qudratullah's body continues.

In addition to these atrocities, Commander Ruhollah's mother and a civilian child were also injured during the conflict, highlighting the Taliban's disregard for innocent lives.

The Taliban incurred heavy losses in this battle, with 8 terrorists killed and 17 wounded. Among the killed was the son of Qari Mohammad, Taliban’s deputy intelligence officer in Baghlan province. Among the wounded was a man called Arif who is Qari Mohammad’s brother. He was immediately transferred to Kunduz hospital.

This battle is a reminder of the high price that comes with fighting for freedom and justice. The bravery and dedication of the NRF fighters remain unshaken as the resistance continues. They know that the cost of freedom is high, but they are willing to pay it, for the sake of a better future for all of Afghanistan.
